## How billing works

- **Usage-based**: pricing is determined by document type and processing volume. Billing is calculated per page; complex or custom Enterprise workflows may be billed per document.
- **Volume discounts**: as document volume increases, the per-page cost decreases.
- **Complexity matters**: multi-page documents with tables, signatures or handwriting require more advanced processing than simple structured documents.
- **Overage**: pages beyond expected usage are billed at the same structure or the next applicable volume tier.

Every extracted page is validated against your schema before it's billed. If a field is wrong, that page is credited back automatically — no support tickets, no debate.
